Peter is a  Male 3 to 4 year old Terrier/Poodle mix who was brought in in February 2014 by a Good Samaritan after being hit by a car. He was a stray dog that has been seen around the neighborhood  for about a year and a half. The Good Samaritan saw that he was hit by a car and tracked him down and was able to get him the following day. She brought him in and was amazing. She paid for the majority of his treatment but couldn’t keep him herself and appreciated Guardians taking over his care.
Peter had multiple Pelvic fractures, a Sacral fracture, and a fractured Femur. He has had surgery and is still recovering but has been doing well so far.Hopefully he’ll be able to be a normal dog after his full recovery. He is great with other dogs, and although he hasn’t interacted much with cats, it’s a safe bet that he’s happy with them as well.  He was super shy in the beginning but is getting better. We think he’ll turn out to be a great dog!

Bucket is a young spayed Female Long Haired Chihuahua Mix that was dumped at a local Animal Hospital.  When Guardians took over her care, she was very thin and unhealthy. Bucket was found to have a linear string foreign body in her GI tract and an Intussusception. She was then taken to surgery and had 50 % of her small intestines removed. So far she is recovering well. Bucket is super friendly and energetic! Most pictures of her are blurry because this young lady is very happy and on the go! She gets along well with dogs, cats, & humans,  adores hugs & belly rubs, and is up for adoption!

Crash, a Male neutered Chihuahua, about 2 years old came to us in September of 2013 after being hit by car. He had a left Coxofemoral Joint Luxation and Pelvic Fractures. He had surgery to correct his injuries and was also neutered at that time. Crash also goes by the nickname “Little Man”. He is super energetic and loves walks! Crash is currently available for foster or adoption, and sleeps well in a bed or crate!
